, (green damper below) with Liquid bladder.
Where viscosity of the liquid being pumped, is sufficiently low that the pump could if necessary perform a suction lift, then the benefits of directing the flow fluctuations straight at the inside of the flexing bladder, without an pressure change necessitated to cause a flow reversal, gives the smoothest result.
The advantage of being able to flush in place, along with first in - first out - constant temperature, agitation and tolerance for suspended solids, makes the PIPEHUGGER first choice for small systems up to 2" pipe diameter.
Off the shelf inventory dampers are lowest cost standard flow-through.

PUMPS make FLOW, SYSTEMS cause PRESSURE, pressure pulsation is a system response, AND a system responsibility NOT a pump manufacturers liability. |
